How to register as a vendor on Xitymart; A step by step guide

Becoming a vendor on an e-commerce platform is a great way to reach new customers and boost your product visibility. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how you can easily register as a vendor on “Xitymart.com”.

 Step 1: Research Platform Policies

Before diving in, familiarize yourself with Xitymart’s vendor policies. Understanding the terms and conditions of use helps you know the types of products allowed, fees involved, and any specific requirements the platform might have to set you on the right path. Make sure your products align with their guidelines to avoid any complications/penalties.

Step 2: Prepare Necessary Documents

Gather essential documents like your business registration, tax ID, bank account details, and any other certifications for your business.

 Step 3: Create a Vendor Account

To create a vendors account, you can navigate to the registration page using either of the methods;

  • a. Proceed to  www.xitymart.com homepage and look for the “Become a Vendor” link, usually at the bottom of the page
  • b. Type in vendor membership link ”www.xitymart.com/vendor-membership/” on your browser.

Sign Up: Click on the link which will direct you to the vendor membership page by clicking on Vendor Just below the Partners Highlight.

Once you have been redirected to the membership page, You would have to go through the 4 simple steps of registration as shown below. The four steps of registration are thus;

  1. Plan: Choose a plan that best tailors to your need by clicking on the subscribe button below each plan.

2. Registration: In the registration step, you’ll fill in basic information as follows;

Registration details;

Username: A Nickname/Name that distinguishes you from other users.

Email: Input a verifiable email for your store. Input the code sent to your email on the verifiable code space. Once verified, proceed to filling other details.

First Name: As contained in your bank details

Last Name: Surname/Father’s name as contained in your bank details.

Store Name: This is the name of your store which will be displayed to customers and in your store URL. It should reflect your business registered document/Name.

Address/Country/State/City: Physical store address/location

Postcode/Zip: Postcode/zip code of stores physical address. You can confirm this by putting in your address on Search browsers and requesting for their Post/Zip code.

Store Phone: Input the mobile number of your store.

Password: Input a strong password. A valid strong password is a combination Uppercase Alphabet, Lower case Alphabet, Numbers, Symbols and 12 characters.

Terms and Conditions: Read the terms and conditions and agree to them to proceed.

3. Proceed to payment: Note that a vendor can subscribe the equivalent of the amount displayed in his local currency using his preferred payment method.

4. Confirmation: Once payment has been made, you will get a notification. After the application has been submitted, XITYMART typically initiates a verification process.

 Approval

After submission and verification, the approval can take a few days to be approved. Monitor your email for any updates from the platform and proceed to setup your vendor profile, list your products and start selling.
